Push it Real Good!

Supermodels Lily Donaldson and Liya Kebede, shot by Josh Olins, for the new issue of V magazine (#64). Inspired by the famed hip-hop girl group Salt-n-Pepa, this 10-page fashion spread showcases the style that helped propel the female act to fame in the 80’s and 90’s. V64 does not hit newsstands until March..
No rules, no limits. Grandmistresses of flash Liya and Lily are taking cues from rap’s female greats for an explosion of prints, platforms, sequins, and crimped hair. Yo. Can you handle it?

Curves Ahead!

Photographer Solve Sundsbo shot for the upcoming V MAGAZINE (issue #63): “The Size Issue,” featuring five plus-size models. The spread is titled “Curves Ahead.”
Styled by Nicola Formichetti, the models showcase everything from bustiers and bodysuits to nothing but their own skin. After shooting for V, Sundsbo later said: “I loved the opportunity to show that you can be beautiful and sexy outside the narrow interpretations that normally define us.”

Doll Parts!

Supermodel Natasha Poly is shot by Glen Luchford for the upcoming V MAGAZINE (issue #63). Inspired purely by Hole front woman Courtney Love, Natasha sports textured bustiers, kilts, petticoats and headpieces constructed of toys throughout the spread. Although the release date has yet to be announced, “Nobody’s Daughter,” the fourth studio album by Hole, is set for release later this month.
The self-made, rough-and-tumble glamour of Courtney Love couldn’t feel more of-the-moment. In an ode to the queen of grunge, whose album is out this month, supermodel Natasha Poly piles on the ruffles, prints, and girlish fineries of spring.

One Size Fits All!

Appropriately titled “One Size Fits All” Richardson’s photo spread showcases Renn and Jablonski side-by-side in identical looks, matching sample size outfits and similar poses. Still, the effect is a powerful one that proves fashion can flatter any figure. Most recently Renn—who has walked the runway for Jean-Paul Gaultier and graced the cover of American Vogue—famously penned her own weight and body image struggles within the model industry in a memoir entitled “Hungry: A Young Model’s Story of Appetite, Ambition and the Ultimate Embrace of Curves,” which was released this fall.
If it’s bright enough, tight enough or eye-poppingly printed enough, odds are it’ll work on any figure. Crystal Renn, model and author of Hungry, and Jacquelyn Jablonski, spring’s new star, show off the season’s most sizzling looks.
